It only takes a sparky, to get the current flowing...

Its happening...
As I tap away here, the electrician is actually on the train heading to our house...
It seems a dream coming true to think that this time next week we could be wired!!!
It really is a prayer answered...

We are still chasing up the previous electrician, 13 months later' for our refund, he ows us alot of money but is not complying... we could do with this money to buy materials for the work this coming week, but we do know, when God plans something, he plans the whole event, including finances, so AMEN to that.

This guy is sacrificing a week to come and help us, his wife is staying at home with their 3 kids doing school trips, breakfasts, putting to bed, the disputes, the 'i don't want to' and 'she started it' things for a week... thank you, as a mum of 3 I really do appreciate the sacrifice you are making.

All this has again bought home to me how the Christian family pulls together in times of need, making sacrifices to help a brother or sister in need, sharing of skills and resourses to help each other; it is humbling to be on the recieving end, but it does challenge me again to see what I am doing to help my brother or sister in need!

The founder of our mission organization, C.T.Studd, captures a phrase that has become the motto,

"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him"

add a splash of colour...

et voila!

Just to show that some progress is happening...
As Elsie is showing, I have been painting some stripes on the chimney breast of the top floor room, over the summer various people helped, the beams were painted dark purple, the spaces between the beams were papered and the walls got a coat of colour, you can see the purple wall, the oppsite is the same and the other two are/will be turquoise... the stripes are still to be finished but I am getting there, (by the way, the pink stripes are flourescent!!!)
It is a fun project, but I will be more than happy when the girls can move in.

Do you want to hear about an answer to prayer?
We have an electrician coming on the 18th September, for a week, to wire the house... Big smiles.
He is a friend from UK and his wife volounteered him for the job. She was really pleased with her idea until she realised that she was going to get to look after her 3 girls on her own for that week!!! aged 8, 6 & 4. Thank you Ruth, we pray that they will be angels for you for the week, and God bless you for volunteering your man.

Will keep you posted as to progress, in the meantime, we are trying to get back into the swing of early mornings, homework, school runs, music clubs... La rentrée happened, the day when all schools start back in this region, September the 1st-regardless of what day of the week it is; concequently, the girls started back at school, after a 2 month break, on a Friday!
